Having last taken listeners to Algiers, Arizona Americana vets Calexico now report that their next sonic journey will bring them to the Edge of the Sun. The album of the same name arrives April 14 via Anti- Records/City Slang. A press release explains that the album, their first since 2012, was written in Mexico City before the band went back to Tucson to recorded the set at Wavelab Studios. Production duties were handled by engineer/producer Craig Schumacher (Neko Case, DeVotchKa), band leaders Joey Burns and John Convertino, and keyboardist Sergio Mendoza. In...
